"A Retrieved Reformation" due 10/10
Purpose: Determine theme of a story and its development through the text. Understand the relationship between the characters, setting, theme, plot and symbols.
Students team selected the analyzing tool they would use to help them meet the purpose. Whatever the team assigned will be due on October 10th in preparation for a group discussion. Argumentative Paragraph due 9/18
Purpose: to practice argumentative writing using claims, reasons, support and warrants.
Students should complete a argumentative paragraph addressing the prompt "Should it be legal to hunt wolves." After, students should underline the claim in red; the reason in blue; the support in green; and the warrant in purple. "The 11:59" due 9/17
Purpose: Determine theme of a story and its development through the text. Understand the relationship between the characters, setting, theme, plot and symbols.
Students should read the story, annotate their thinking and focus on the purpose using the clues to theme guide. |
